Use your overseas commercials for UK broadcast
At Active Pictures our expertise extends beyond complete TV commercial production but also to 'anglicising' or 'localising' commercials from overseas for UK and Irish broadcast. Many companies can utilise commercials already produced by their parent or sister companies as this is extremely cost effective to re-filming.
Active Pictures regularly re-edit, reformat, change packshots/islandshots, re-voice and re-graphic commercials which have been produced abroad and then submit them to Clearcast, the UK's broadcast clearance authority, for broadcast clearance. We then distribute the commercial(s) to the various channels as per the media schedule supplied.
Please take a look at the example above produced for Grosvenor. The brief was not only to cut down the original Tooth Tunes commercial (shown first) from its 30 second 4:3 format to a 20 second UK widescreen format, but also to add a tag to promote the new Tooth Tunes Junior product and retailer tagging too. We were able to re-edit the existing live action sequence and then recreate the end graphic sequence from scratch to include the extra brush, resulting in a fresh, newly created commercial and all produced to look seamless!
